Conti's Home Trainer tire is made of a harder cold running rubber that doesn't experience the heat build up of a road tire, nor does it suffer the tread seperation that a road tire is prone to under the special loads occuring when cycling and braking on the rollers revolving drums. It is designed to reduce the noise that is typical of a normal road tire when running of an indoor trainer. The UltraSport Home Trainer has been designed explicitly for rollers and is not suitable for on-road use.

These tires are made in the same factory with the same casing as those tires that start with A from that company that starts with S that you know and love, but these cost less. They are very puncture resistant, and that puncture resistance goes from the bead to the bead not just under the center of the tread. The tread compound is designed for ultra long life.
