We here at the Bike Biz have found our favorite sport...Fixed gear Cyclocross. Most of the employees here have been riding their track bikes on the dirt for a few years and we finally decided to give up our secret! At this point we know that the Bare Knuckle, Piccolo, Soma Rush and Pake frames can accomodate a 700 x 30 Schwalbe CX knobby tire. Schwalbe CX Pro 700x30 Cyclocross Tire

This is a great quality cross tire that with a narrow 30mm profile can be fit into most track frames. Anything sized 52cm and above that doesn't have an aero seat tube has so far worked fine for us. It has a very aggressive tread pattern that offers plenty of traction even in wet and muddy conditions. There's plenty of meat to go through as well. After 6 months of heavy brakeless use with plenty of skidding I am finally needing to replace my rear tire (but only because I've skid the knobs off and it's bald. Not threadbare though!). This is like putting monster truck tires on your race car. Nothing but awesome. More fun than a barrel full of moms.

Schwalbe CX Comp 700x30 Cyclocross Tire

The Schwalbe CX Comp is a nice cross tire with a fast tread pattern, good for the hard pack dirt and dry short grass. It has a narrow 30mm profile that fits into most track frames. We've had luck fitting this tire in track frames sized 52cm and above that don't have an aero seat tube. Even with the short center tread there's plenty of meat to go through as. It is like putting Rally Racing tires on your Tokyo Drifting Car . More fun than a can of worms.
