A step up form the Open Sport is the industry standard Open Pro, a rim to which all others are measured. This is what we build our own wheels with. Light, stiff, and strong it's hard to find any faults with this rim.

It's a double wall, double eyelet rim with a 18.4mm hieght,19.6mm width and 10.3mm of braking surface.

 

Mavic technologies used on this rim include "SUP," which is the welded and milled rim joint, "UB Contol," which refers to the milled braking surface, "Maxtal," exclusive Mavic aluminum alloy, 30% stronger than 6106 aluminum.

 

Options include a hard anodized version called the "CD," which improves braking surface wear and durability. The Open Pro also comes in a "Ceramic" version which is harder than aluminum, brakes better in the wet and wears longer than any other rim treatment.
