Once upon a time all saddles were made of stretched leather. They were comfortable and durable, but people complained that they were too heavy. Now people are realizing that at least when it comes to saddles comfort is more important than weight.
Until recently the only option in leather saddles was Brooks. Now Cardiff has given them a some competition.
The Mercia is Caradiff's top sport / tour saddle. It is made of premium cowhide with copper plated steel rails and rivets. Compare it to a Brooks B-17 special.
Rub a little Proofide on them to soften them up and you're ready to go. It will fit you like a glove after you've got some miles on it.
