The Switchback is a medium sized pannier that is convertible to a backpack.  It is a great option for anyone who uses a backpack or messenger bag on their commute.  Once you ride with nothing on your back you won't want to go back.  It converts back and forth from pannier to backpack in seconds. All you have to do is clip the backpack straps on the front of the bag and you are ready to go.  The Switchback attaches to the rack with Arkel's Cam-Lock system at the top of the rack and does not use a lower hook.  When worn as a backpack the hooks can not touch your back.  It works great as a quick urban pannier, but if you are touring we recommend the Arkel Bug.
