New from those folks in Petaluma, CA, comes the White Industries 'Urban' pedal. Never before now has there been such an assortment of finely crafted bike parts made by our fellow Americans. With the advent of NAHMBS and the strength of current bike culture, we have plenty of component choices from premium domestic manufacturers such as Paul Components, Phil Wood, Chris King, White Industries, and more. One item notably absent from all of these masters of craft was a nice, high quality pair of pedals. White Industries has addressed that and now offer the 'Urban' pedal.
The urban pedals are beautifully CNC'd works of art. Each pedal is fully rebuildable and uses high quality cartridge bearings. There is a very large and smooth platform for comfort but there is no extra material on the outer end of the bottom of the pedal where one would be likely to strike the ground. The pedals are fully compatible with double straps and toe clips but look and work fine without. The ultimate in quality and performance for any fixed gear rider/commuter looking for the best of the best. Available in black or silver. 295 grams/pair

Velocity's A23 is the answer to the problem you did not know you had. The A23 is essentially a wider Aerohead rim. The idea behind a 23mm wide rim is that when paired with a 23c tire, the internal width of the rim clinches the tire beads just right so that the tire profile is very close to that of a tubular rim. So you get less rolling resistance, better cornering, and a better ride (you can run your tires at a lower pressure).

The IRD Defiant crank is a replica of a Campagnolo Nuevo Record crank. This crank is has a nicely polished finished and will look great on any vintage or pseudo vintage bike. It comes with a 46t 144bcd 1/8" chainring. Great for 1 by road or commuter bikes as well as fixed gears.

Classic and comfortable. That pretty much summed up Brooks saddles for the last 100 years or so. Now with the B-17 Imperial they have introduced a cut out to make the saddle even more comfortable.
Handmade of leather in England. Rub a little Proofide on them to soften them up and you're ready to go. It will fit you like a glove after you've got some miles on it.
Best suited for the century rider or for touring.

A Warning to the Fuji Classic to be on its toes. For 2010 the Classic is not the only game in town. Fuji has brought another filly to their stable, the Fuji Feather. The Feather is very similar to the Classic. The difference is an upgrades in components and more colors. If the Classic is track ready, then so too is the Feather. Similarly, the Feather is ready to roll the town as well. Compared to the Classic look for upgrades to the handlebar, stem, seatpost, crankset, wheels, and the especially cool lugged crown fork. You'll also notice the cool paint job.
